2015年北京大学哲学系“古代经典与出土文献:《尚书》与《老子》”国际工作坊

招生简章

     北京大学哲学系面向国内外各高等院校和科研机构相关领域的青年教师及在读博士研究生,举办“古代经典与出土文献:《尚书》与《老子》”国际工作坊(7月19日至25日)。旨在促进相关领域研究者跨学科、多视角的交流与互动,从而推动中国古代经典研究的进一步发展。国际工作坊即日开始招生,欢迎报名。
近年来,随着新出土文献的整理与研究,围绕《尚书》和《老子》,多个相关学科领域都涌现出一批出色的研究成果。我们希望通过工作坊,为海内外相关领域的专家和青年学者们提供交流平台,增进沟通与合作,从而能更好地了解同行研究的新进展、讨论未来研究的新方向。
本次工作坊将由北京大学哲学系主办,牛津大学、悉尼大学等海外高校相关研究机构参与协办。

一、招生对象:

    国内外高等院校和科研机构有关中国古代经典与思想等相关研究领域的青年教师和在读博士生。

二、时间地点:
2015年7月19日-- 24日,北京大学哲学系。
19日报到。报到地点:北京大学人文学苑2号楼哲学系。

三、主要议题:

以《老子》、《尚书》为中心,结合传世与出土文献进行研究与讨论。
王博(北京大学)、王中江(北京大学)、李零(北京大学)、Dirk Meyer(牛津大学)等国内外知名学者将担任工作坊主持人。
工作语言为中、英文,不提供现场同声传译。

六、待遇与费用:

报名、学杂、图书资料等均免费;旅费、食宿由学员自理。

七、报名与录取:

限于师资和设施,暑期学校拟招收正式学员40人(国内20人,国外20人),原则上要求为相关专业和领域的博士生以上学历,要求所有学员能使用中、英文双语,国外学生需至少有初步的古代汉语阅读能力。亦可酌情招收少量优秀的硕士生。

报名程序:请登录北京大学哲学系网页(http://www.phil.pku.edu.cn),下载《2015年北京大学哲学系“古代经典与出土文献:《尚书》与《老子》”国际工作坊报名表》,逐项填写无误,经所在单位同意(加盖教务章或者组织机构、单位公章,建议将《报名表》转换成PDF格式)之后,发至邮箱:iwcp2015@163.com,并附代表作论文一篇(中国古代经典研究,不要求已发表)、专家推荐信一封(推荐信由专家直接发送到邮箱即可),即可完成报名过程。

报名截止时间为2015年7月10日。

录取程序:北京大学哲学系将组织专门委员会根据申请者提交的《报名表》材料进行审核和录取。凡录取的学员将会收到北大哲学系发出的录取函件和工作坊指南,并通过电子邮件或电话与学员本人沟通联系。

The Admission Brochure of International Workshop
about ShangShu and Laozi
by Philosophy Department of Peking University in 2015

Philosophy Department of Peking University intends to hold an international workshop about “Chinese ancient classics and the unearthed documents: Shangshu and Laozi” from 19th July to 25th July. All the scholars, teachers and learning PhD students who are study the related field from any universities or research departments over the world are welcomed. The workshop aims to offer an opportunity of multi-angle and cross-discipline communication for participators and promote the development of Chinese ancient classics research.

The workshop is sponsored by Philosophy Department of PKU, and co-sponsored by Oxford University, Sydney University and other relevant research departments.

1. Recruiting Requirements
The scholars, teachers and learning PhD students in the related field from institutions of higher education or research departments all over the world are welcomed.
2. Time and Place
Time: From 19th July to 24th July, 2015
Registration: 19th July, 2015
Place of Registration: Philosophy Department, No.2 Building, School of Humanity, PKU, China(北京大学人文学苑2号楼哲学系)
3. Main Topics
Combining with the unearthed and widespread documents, the discussion will mainly focus on Shangshu and Laozi.
Attention: The workshop will be held in Chinese and English and will not offer simultaneous interpretation.

Li Ling, PKU
Dirk Meyer, Oxon
And some other famous scholars from China and abroad
5. Fees
Enrollment and all the study materials are free;
Travel expense and hotel expense are needed to pay by individuals.
6. Admission Information
Due to the limitation of faculty and equipment, the workshop plans to recruit 40 students, including 20 Chinese students and 20 foreign students. In principle, all the candidates should study related fields and have PhD degree or higher education degree. Workshop has the discretion to admit some excellent graduate students.

Language requirement:
Use both Chinese and English well.
Foreign students should at least be able to read ancient Chinese.

3). Fill the application form and get it signed or sealed in your own faculty.
4). Other materials:
One passage about Chinese ancient classics (unpublished is permitted)
A letter of recommendation by professors

5). It would be better to transfer the all the materials into PDF format before you send them to this e-mail address: iwcp2015@163.com

The applications will be accepted before 10th, July, 2015.

The process of assessment:
Philosophy department will organize a specialized committee to assess all the materials and finish the recruitment. Every admitted student will receive the admission notice and guidance of workshop sent by our Philosophy department, PKU. In addition, we will contact with the individual through e-mail or telephone.
